Phi Strong is a new series of events for the benefit of the incoming freshman of the UP College of Medicine, hosted by the Phi Lambda Delta Sorority and the Phi Kappa Mu Fraternity. These events give a warm welcome and promote interactions between various batches within the community. Phi Strong was first launched in August 2024 and consisted of PHI-esta, PHIght Night, and DisOrientation. 

Phi-esta

PHI-esta is the kick-off welcoming “pagkain” for the UP College of Medicine (UPCM) community, celebrating Filipino food and culture. The event features traditional Filipino dishes, food stalls, and fun activities, providing a chance for new students to bond with peers, faculty, and upperclassmen. 

PHIght Night

PHight Night is an exciting sports event featuring a series of friendly and competitive gamesof badminton and basketball. The event encouraging members of the UPCM community to engage in friendly competition and interact with their peers in a fun, energetic environment.

DisOrientation

Disorientation is our culminating party which serves as a fun and lively event, offering a chance to unwind, socialize, and bond with their peers. The party features music, dancing, and a vibrant atmosphere, providing a break from the academic pressures, and creating lasting memories as they begin their medical school journey.
