The Phi Lambda Delta Sorority is the premier sorority of the UP College of Medicine. Since its founding in 1969, the Sorority has shared in the vision and mission of the College of Medicine to produce a community of doctors who possess a heightened social consciousness through a firm commitment to excellence and leadership in community-oriented medical service directed especially to the underserved.

The Phi Lambda Delta Sorority distinguishes itself through its diverse activities all-year-round. Upholding the core values of excellence, leadership, service and sisterhood, the sorority gives importance to activities that fall under its socio-civic arm, the PagKalMa (Pagkalinga para sa Kalusugan ng Mamamayan). Benefiting patients in the UP-Philippine General Hospital and several indigent communities, in partnership with various non-government organizations, such activities provide an avenue for each member to acquire a work ethic of professionalism and excellence, serve the community, enhance interpersonal relationships, explore her talents and reach her highest potential. In our 55 years, we have produced over eight hundred fifty outstanding lady doctors, occupying prominent positions and spanning different fields of specialization – both here and around the world. With 50 years of experience and over 1000 members, the sorority has nowhere to go but forward and upward.
